Once upon a time I did a simple math model with lead pellets using a fixed coefficient of drag and velocity then increased the mass. Not surprisingly, adding mass for a fixed frontal area and shape provide less drop. A sphere doesn't have that shape.

Dec 14, 2016·Several things you have to know; the ballistic coefficient of the pellet, the weight (in gr), and the velocity out of the gun. the other parameters you can easily measure (weight too if you have a good scale). Once you pick a new profile (use the app to rename and add values), put in what you know.

I’m sure @cloverleaf ran a thorough set of tests on JSB’s so that would be a good starting point. Will try and find the thread and give it a test. Would be handy if the data is accurate for Airguns as well
